Phil is a Fellow of the Academy of Social Sciences and Emeritus Professor at the University of Brighton
He has worked for over thirty years in higher education research, teaching and management, including funded research with the ESRC, government agencies and private and voluntary organisations
His qualifications include: a MSc in Advanced Research Methods, and a PhD about quantitative modelling and the complexities of government planning
